British Talent Joins the Wolves

Oaklands Wolves Announce Signing of Bo Guttormsdottir-Frost for 2024/25 Season

The Oaklands Wolves are thrilled to announce the signing of Bo Guttormsdottir-Frost, a rising star in European basketball, for the remainder of the 2024/25 season. The 16-year-old, 6’2”, British/Icelandic guard joins the Wolves from U.M.F Njardvik, where she competed in the Icelandic Subway League averaging 11.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 27 minutes per game.

Bo’s international pedigree is equally impressive. She has been a standout for Great Britain’s U18 team, leading the squad in the 2024 U18 European Championships with averages of 15 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. In November 2024, she took another significant step in her career, earning selection to the GB senior women’s team for the 2025 EuroBasket qualifiers and securing a place in the final 12-player roster.

Bo will be furthering her development through the Oaklands Wolves Academy at Oaklands College, combining elite training with education. She said “I am thrilled to be joining Oaklands Academy and sign with the Wolves Super League team. The option to study A levels, live on campus and play with such a talented and strong SLB team is an honour and a great opportunity for me to continue my development. I can’t wait to get started! Let’s Go Wolves!!”

“Bo is the most exciting talent of her generation” said Head Coach Lee Ryan. “We are absolutely delighted we could provide her the right platform to continue her growth in the game. Her character, work ethic, and versatility make her a perfect fit for our program and she is already taking the opportunity to show how good she can be at the top level. Bo has already demonstrated incredible maturity and poise on the international stage, stepping up to the SLB will be a challenge but one we know she is ready for.”

Bo will make her debut on Sunday, as the Wolves travel to Nottingham Wildcats in SLB Championship play for a 7pm Tip. Watch live on the SLB YouTube channel.
