Writer: Oaklands WolvesOaklands Wolves

Oaklands Wolves have signed French forward Fabienne Zere for the 2023/24 season.

The 6’1 Forward joins the Wolves after playing for Birmingham Rockets last year, where Zere led the team to the NBL finals and was a dominant force for the rockets throughout the season. Born in the Ivory Coast, Zere moved to France where she won a National Cup with Nates before moving to the UK to complete her undergraduate degree at Wolverhampton University.

Coach Ryan is excited to work with her this season, saying “Fabienne has a lot of potential! We played against the newly formed British University select team at the end of last season and she was the stand out player on the court. Immediately I could see her potential to step up to the Women’s League and I’m looking forward to helping her get to the next level.”

Fabienne said “I am thankful for this opportunity to make my debut in the Women’s League. Coach believes I have the potential to contribute and has been really supportive throughout this process. I am looking forward to developing with the Wolves, making the next step in my playing career and helping them compete this season. Let's Go Wolves!"
