Hat-trick for Wolves Boys Premier

Wolves Boys Premier team had a successful day In the Herts Under-13 Central Venue League at Oaklands on Sunday.

With Michael Ball back coaching, Wolves won all three games they played in the third weekend of action in the new competition.

A depleted squad brought in a couple of primary school guests for the opening game, with the eight-man team winning 56-12 against Wolves U-13 Girls. East Herts Royals were also struggling, with their coach unavailable due to quarantining and needing to borrow kit from the hosts, but they got the game played, with Wolves winning 56-8. After a long break, the Premier Boys returned to the court for the final game of the day to beat Wolves U-13 Boys Development 58-12.

The battle of the winless teams saw Wolves Under-12 boys overcome a slow start to beat their club’s girls 45-20, while Wolves Development side went down 37-20 against Brentwood Leopards with the Essex side maintain their perfect start to the season with a comfortable win against Royals.

The under-13 league now has a week off, allowing the new under-16 development league to be launched at Oakland
