There was success for Wolves' U-13 performance and U-17 development teams (pictured) as they travelled to Cambridge Cats to play in the hosts' Central Venue League.
Both teams have only played games in the Oaklands CVL this season, but didn't find the transition a problem, despite the U-13s playing up an age group in the U-14 division. Facing Long Road in their first game, Wolves conceded the first basket but they dominated the rest of the game. They went into the first break 11-5 ahead and then dominated the second quarter to go into the half-time break 34-8 ahead. A 14-10 third period effectively ended the game as a contest before Wolves outscored the hosts 22-2 in the final period to wrap up the win.
Albert Dye led the scoring with 14 points, Rocky Starr adding 12 and Liam Schertal eigh.
The second game proved to be even more one-sided as Linton were hammered 58-7. Linton scored the first basket of the game before Wolves held them scoreless for the rest of the period to led 11-2 at the opening break. A 16-2 second period put Ibrahim Gariba's team firmly in charge and they outscored Linton 15-2 and 16-1 to complete the win. Zac Butterworth led Wolves with 14 points , with Ethan Chung and Tituan Vilmeux each finishing with eight.
Not to be outdone, the older Wolves dominated against Linton U-17s, winning 65-24 in a game that they led from tip-to-buzzer, and kept the opposition in single figures in each quarter. Finn Thomas led the scoring with 13 point, with Harrison Smith and Will Ford adding 11 each and Ethan Poon ten.
It was a similar story in the second game as they dominated against Long Road, never looking back after a 14-4 first period on their way to a 51-17 victory. Etisoa Eghobamien's13 points led George Walker's team, with Poon adding eight and Thomas six..
