Wolves' under-16 girl led the way over a tough weekend for the club.
Tor Freeman's side hammered neighbours Luton 81-19 to make a successful start to their league campaign on Saturday before London Warriors conceded the following day's National Cup first round tie.
Amye Swinney led the way with 14 points and seven rebounds, while Caitlin Ryan added 12 points, eight steals, six rebounds and three assists. Tiff Tyson finished with 11 points, while Lileth Harkness and Jemima Uzoka each added ten points, with the former pulling down four boards..
Harkness opened the scoring, and Wolves quickly blew into a double-digit lead as they went into the first break 20-6 ahead. freeman was able to run his bench for much of the second period but that didn't stop the hosts extending their advantage to 37-10 going into the locker room at half-time. Luton got going offensively a bit in the third period, although Wolves extended the lead to 55-18 but the visitors were limited to just a single point in the fourth quarter as Wolves scored the final 17 points of the game.
In contrast the U-16 boys never recovered from a poor start as they went down 60-47 at London Thunder.
The visitors trailed 14-6 at the first break and a disastrous finish to the half saw the hosts go on a quickfire 10-0 run to lead 34-11 going into the locker room. The teans shared 30 points in the third period and Wolves briefly got the margin into single figures before Thunder closed out the win.

A short-handed U-14 girls side went down 87-30 against Ipswich in their opening league game of the season.
Wolves had just five players in the first half but were competitive in the opening period to only trail 24-14 before running out of steam in the second as the visitors scored 19 unanswered points to lead 43-14 at half-time.
The arrival of Yasmin Murphy gave coach Ibrahim Gariba the chance to rotate his side, and a better third period saw them score the first six points before Ipswich recovered to lead 62-26 at the final break before wrapping things up with a 25-4 fourth quarter. Lucy Conlan led the Wolves with 12 points while Olivier Akers added 11.
The new-look U-14 boys also had a baptism of fire as they went down 76-34 at London Lions, on Sunday.
A tight opening period saw Wolves trail 18-15 at the first break but they failed to score in double digits as Lions went into the locker room at half-time 45-20 ahead and wrapped things up with 13-6 and 18-8 second half periods.
Otis Lau-Johnson led the visitors 12points, six rebounds, three steals and as many assists, Max Plagermann added six points while Ricky Amrania pulled down an impressive 13 rebounds.
